Dal-Tile (Mohawk) announced layoffs of 146 employees on October 16, 2026. Dal-Tile Services shut its Florence, Alabama tile plant with no advance notice and gave no public reason. All 146 workers get a lump sum equal to 60 days of wages and benefits, and the plant closes permanently on February 26, 2027.
