Jerith Manufacturing (Assa Abloy) announced layoffs of 61 employees on September 8, 2026. Jerith is closing its Northeast Philadelphia aluminum fence factory after rent on the building was set to nearly triple. Work shifts to Ameristar sites in New Jersey and Tulsa, and 24 of the 61 workers were offered New Jersey positions.
