Nature's Bakery (Mars) announced layoffs of 345 employees in July 7, 2026. Mars is closing the Nature's Bakery fig bar plant in Hazelwood, Missouri and shifting production to Salt Lake City and Carson City. Cuts land in two waves, 130 in September 2026 and 215 in February 2027, ahead of a full plant shutdown in September 2027.
