Stone Brewing announced layoffs of 220 employees on August 19, 2026. Sapporo USA is closing all three Escondido production sites, ending Stone's 20-year brewing presence in San Diego County. The first 58 workers go on October 19 as production shifts to Paso Robles and Kansas City.
